EXCLUSIVE: Disney Channel has ordered family comedy series Stuck In the Middle,
starringJane The Virgin’s Jenna Ortega. Production begins in November for a spring premiere.Ortega stars as Harley Diaz, an engineering whiz who uses her inventions to navigate life as the middle child in a family of seven kids. Playing her siblings are Ronni Hawk as Rachel, Kayla Maisonet (Dog With A Blog) as Georgie, Isaak Presley (Austin & Ally) as Grant, Nicolas Bechtel (General Hospital) as Danny, Malachi Barton (Best Friends Whenever) as Beast and Ariana Greenblatt (Liv And Maddie) as Daphne.
The pilot teleplay was written by Alison Brown (Dog With A Blog) & Linda Videtti Figueiredo from a story by Brown. Figueiredo also serves as exec producer and showrunner.
